Phillip Island

This past weekend was one of the best yet! We rented a car and drove to an island, Phillip Island, which is about 2 hours from St. Kilda. The crew consisted of my roomies, Dan, and Tim. I got to drive in Australia for the first time....so good! I miss driving! We rented this townhouse just for a night and spent the night in a town close to Phillip Island called Inverloch. There wasn't much to Inverloch but it had a decent beach and the place we stayed in was so nice! We had so much fun in our "vacation home." We grilled out and relaxed all day. The home even came with party hats and glow sticks....so we definitely had a rave. It was so nice to get out of the city and to relax with everyone. The next day we worked at a car race on Phillip Island. Stephanie met a girl (Holly) when she was traveling in Europe. Holly's parents own a food vendor and work at certain events....including this race on Phillip Island. It was such a hot day....and we worked in these trailors that had grills and fryers in them....but it was still nice to earn some cash in hand! After working we watched the car race for a little bit and then drove around the island. We finally saw our first kangaroos! We were going to see the Penguins that are at the island, but unfortunately they don't come out until 9 pm. We were too tired to wait....maybe next time!
